Maintaining a network that helps members to improve capabilities and role

EuroGeographics members place tremendous value on collaborating to find solutions to common challenges. This willingness to share experiences and best practice is central to the success of our knowledge exchange activities. Our networks provide an open forum for discussing issues of mutual interest. Each focuses on an area of particular interest for National Mapping, Cadastre and Land Registry Authorities:

The KENs organise a comprehensive calendar of annual events, including webinars, workshops and conferences, and also issue a range of publications such as the results of research, policy papers and best practice guidelines.

State Boundaries of Europe Forum

The State Boundaries of Europe (SBE) Forum aims to deliver boundary-related information from harmonised cross-border national geospatial data.

CLRKEN

Cadastre and Land Registry

The purpose of this KEN is to help meet user needs for cadastral information at both national and European level.

INSPIRE KEN

This KEN enables members to discuss and share their experiences of implementing the INSPIRE Directive.

PolKEN

Policy

This KEN tracks, evaluates and constructively participates in the development of relevant European initiatives, programmes and policies.

QKEN

Quality

This group focuses on data quality and quality management issues, produces benchmarking reports and tracks international standards.

Positioning Forum

The Positioning Forum (previously POS KEN) provides a forum for discussion between organisations which each represent a different GNSS market segment.

Memebers Webinar Series

A new webinar series in partnership with EuroSDR to keep members connected, share knowledge and provide new learning opportunities.

Funding

EuroGeographics tracks and monitors relevant funding opportunities for both the Association and its members.

Participation by non-members

We also pursue activities with other associations working in the field of mapping, cadastre and land information. These Partnerships complement and add to the development of our KEN activities, bringing greater opportunities for professional development. Whilst EuroGeographics’ KENs are provided principally for the benefit of members, KEN chairs other participants who, in their judgement, can add value to activities.
